Luman Wang, I agree with you that our use cases should be practical use cases in that what they deliver is very relevant to service providers. I believe the way the use case is currently defined, including the possibility for IPv6 addresses for the tunnels (already added in the wiki), is in fact very much relevant to service providers. It does not do everything, but what it does do – residential broadband service – it does well . Real deployments will involve a lot more integration with the SP’s processes and systems, and may also use other VNF’s and not necessarily the ones used in the use case. In particular the VPP based functions will definitely have to be revisited in a real life deployment.
I think an enterprise service is also a very good service, and ONAP should address this as another use case. Some elements of the service are similar to the residential service, but many will be different. We can do anything, but we cannot do everything. This is true in general, and especially when running against a very tight schedule such as our R1 schedule. I therefore second your proposal to consider this service for a later release.
