Hi fellow ONAP TSC members,

I would like to ask you to kindly consider my self-nomination for ONAP TSC Vice Chair.

It has been a great experience and no better reward as part of CMCC team working with all of you in establishing and extending the community together, building and hardening ONAP releases, and incubating and improving our own solutions out of it.

A common orchestration platform for both NFV and SDN is important to carriers like China Mobile. 5G and AI are our next opportunity.

If elected, I would be happy to continue devoting myself to drive the ecosystem around ONAP by
1) helping the SPs pooling the deployment requirements and testing experience,
2) helping the developer recruiting by lowering the entrance barriers for new comers, and
3) helping improving both internal and external collaboration for LFN projects via TAC, OVP etc.

Thanks,

Lingli

I am officially opening the long overdue self-nomination period for the TSC Chair elections. The nomination period will end on Wednesday, Dec. 12 @ noon Pacific.

Officially the job responsibilities for the Vice-Chair can be found in 4.1.3   Vice Chair of the Community Document.  However, please be advised that there is a high likelihood the Vice-Chair will also serve as the ONAP Representative to the LFN Technical Advisory Council “TAC”.
(Note: This proposal has been briefly discussed, but is yet to be formally drafted and approved by the ONAP TSC)

Here are a couple of considerations for prospective nominees assuming the TSC approves expanding role of the Vice-Chair to be the ONAP TAC Rep:

  • Please confirm that you can fulfill the responsibilities found in Section 7 of the LFN Charter
  • You should be comfortable using gerrit to comment on and approve documents, proposals to conduct TAC business
  • If you are an existing Platinum Member representative to the TSC, it would be inappropriate to serve as both a Member and Project representative concurrently.  If you are elected to the Vice-Chair position your primary responsibility would be as the ONAP Rep and your Member Rep position would need to be backfilled by someone else within your company.
