Candidate's Statement
I have been an active member of the ONAP community since its inception mostly 
involved in architecture, use cases, and documentation. I am excited of the 
opportunity to help ONAP become successful in the industry and to accelerate 
its adoption. I'm looking forward to making it easier to deploy ONAP and for 
new people to get involved in the ONAP community. Further, I intend to help 
fostering fruitful industry collaboration between ONAP and other relevant open 
source communities and standards organisations.

Biography
Timo is the Head of Open Source Network and Service Automation at Nokia, where 
he is responsible for driving Nokia's overall engagement in ONAP. In this role 
Timo works across multiple industry organisations, both open source and 
standardisation, engages with both customers and other industry players, as 
well as internally across all Nokia businesses.
Timo has over 20 years of experience in network systems, ranging from 
multivendor interoperability verification, systems architecture research, new 
business incubation, to mobile network and operations systems standardisation, 
most recently heading Nokia engagement in Network Functions Virtualisation - or 
Telco cloud - standardisation. In his current role Timo was instrumental in 
ensuring Nokia's early commitment and platinum founding member engagement in 
OPNFV, ensuring Nokia commitment with OpenStack, as well as Nokia being 
platinum founding member in ONAP.
Prior to joining Nokia Timo was a lecturer at his alma mater Helsinki 
University Computer Science department, where he focused on distributed systems 
and systems communications.

Once again we are having a special election. This time to fill the seat 
recently vacated by Ranny Haiby as per sections 4.2.3.3 and 4.2.3.4 of the ONAP 
Technical Community Document.
If you are interested in running for a seat on the TSC, please read all of this 
information carefully.
Nominations for this seat on the ONAP TSC officially open @ 18:00 Pacific Time, 
Thursday, January 24, 2019
Nominations will close @ 18:00 Pacific Time, Thursday, February 7, 2018
Who is eligible to Run:  This seat is an open to any Active Community Members 
as of 18:00 Pacific Time, Thursday, January 24, 2019 - There is NO limit to the 
number of candidates from any single company that can run for a seat.  FOR THIS 
ELECTION HOWEVER, if someone from your company already holds a seat on the 
TSC<https://www.onap.org/about/tsc>, no one else from your company can run.
4.1.1.1 TSC Membership

  Active Community Member: Anyone from the ONAP community with twenty (20) or 
more measurable contributions during the previous 12-month period, inclusive of 
code merged, code reviews performed, wiki page edits, or JIRA activities. 
(Note: I am creating a revised "Active Community Members" list. I will post 
that link when complete.  For the most part you probably know if you qualify or 
not, so do not wait on that page to nominate yourself.  After generating the 
list if there is an issue, I will discuss it with you privately. -kp)
 Self-Nomination Phase
Individuals interested in running for a TSC position MUST REPLY-ALL TO THIS 
ORIGINAL EMAIL with your intention to run before 18:00 Pacific Time, Thursday, 
February 7, 2018.
NOTE: Replying to another candidate's self-nomination email announcing your own 
self-nomination is considered a blatant disregard for open source community 
norms. If you do that, you should probably re-assess both your qualifications 
and motivations for leading a collaborative community such as this.

It is strongly recommended that candidates also include a small head-shot, a 
short biography and statement of intent on why you would be a good person to 
hold a seat on the TSC.

 page with that same information. Filling out the wiki page is NOT in lieu of 
sending the email as required, but it will greatly help facilitate the process 
of the elections.

A Condorcet election will be held using the CIVS voting

Community Members will receive an invitation to vote from CIVS.

*         The election phase will end two (2) weeks later in the same time zone

of all candidates
