Overcast with occasional sunny periods. Strong southwest winds shifting westerly. Some early-afternoon rain followed by a brief patch of blue skies. Moved to the South Lookout at 2pm (1pm EST) as it clouded over again. Light to moderate NW winds through the remainder of the count. Raptor Observations: A decent liftoff, but then the flight fizzled out, probably due to the thick overcast skies. Turkey Vultures were most numerous, mostly driven by a late-day push at the South Lookout with 141 total. Broad-wings were only one fewer with 140. Moderate sharpie flight with nearly a hundred. Smaller numbers of other expected migrants.
