Light southeast winds for the first two hours, switching to westerly then to a northerly lake breeze. Count moved to the South Lookout at 10am (9am EST). Count ended early due to misty rain. Raptor Observations: A decent cleanup flight as the hawks along the lake shore from yesterday moved, then slower afterwards. Broad-winged Hawks were most numerous with nearly 200. Twenty-eight Turkey Vultures. Six Ospreys. Two Merlins from the north lookout in the morning. Predictions: TOMORROW: Cloudy early with partial sun late. High 58F. Winds WNW at 5-10mph. South Lookout. Expect light to moderate migration. SATURDAY: Sunny. A stray shower or thunderstorm possible. High near 75F. Winds SSW at 10-15mph. A favorable wind, though it may send the raptors high and make them difficult to spot against the blue skies. Should be a good day for non-raptor migration as well. Expect moderate to good migration. SUNDAY: Cloudy then partly cloudy. High 69F. Winds W at 5-10mph. Probably South Lookout.
