Weather:
Sunny with a layer of cirrus clouds moving in. Moderate southeast winds
that held until 3:30pm (2:30pm EST) when a northerly lake breeze finally
kicked in, though the southerly winds battled and took over again briefly.
Quite warm. Even when we had lake breeze at ground level the air was full
of cottonwood fluff and spider webs that revealed the altitude at which the
southerly winds still prevailed.

Raptor Observations:
A steady flight that picked up for the late-morning and lasted a few hours.
Broad-winged Hawks were most numerous with 92, mostly in a single hour. A
decent vulture flight for June with 68. A good Bald Eagle flight with 37.
The other migrants were 2 red-tails and an Osprey. Local Cooper's Hawk and
American Kestrel were also seen.

Non-raptor Observations:
Common Gallinule, 25 Double-crested Cormorants, 2 Great Blue Herons,
Red-headed Woodpecker, 2 Bobolinks.

Predictions:
TOMORROW: Partly cloudy. Near record high temps near 85F. Winds SSE at
5-10mph, shifting SW and probably a lake breeze at some point. Could be
some raptor migration before the lake breeze.

WEDNESDAY: Scattered Thunderstorms then mainly cloudy with thunderstorms
likely. High 79F. Winds S at 10-15mph. Good winds, so any chance of a
flight will depend on what happens with the storms.
