The environment is Oracle 10G RAC. Overall process to be supported is to take business requirements and translate into reporting/datamart design and complete creation of logical AND physical model. Must profile data to ensure understanding of data before completing design, then create the database tables, then create load specs for ETL developers to load the reporting/datamart tables just designed. Must be proficient at writing SQL for both data profiling as well as prototyping ETL transformations and join logic, and finally must validate newly designed reporting/datamart data loads after ETL is written.
