Job Title :- Sr. Business Systems Analyst with Mutual funds exp LOCATION: San Antonio, TX DURATION: 12 Months Start Date :- ASAP DESCRIPTION: ============= Evaluates the current process and workflow for various business functions, documents findings, and recommends improvements. Analyzes the relationship between business functions and the system by preparing analysis documents (examples may include requirements, entity relationship models, dataflow diagrams, process specifications and design). Resolves issues between stated business requirements and what is technically feasible by identifying issues, evaluating alternative systems solutions, confirming with users and communicating the end result with developers. Translates business and technical requirements between the users and developers. Designs windows, screens and reports for various business functions. Ensures a quality end product by conducting thorough system testing. Conducts product software analysis to determine if we should purchase or develop internally. Estimates and prioritizes tasks for software releases and implementation. Performs cost benefit analysis and assists in developing business cases for projects. Determines scope and participates in establishing priorities for system changes. Provides on-going evaluation of system functions and design and identifies areas for improvement. Prepares and distributes status reports and other updates to users and management. Communicates actively with users on system status, including system changes, problems, enhancements, and potential impacts. Actively participates in user meeting: Assists in preparing for meetings Participates in meeting discussions. Participates actively in all aspect of project management and control. Keeps abreast of new technology through continued education and training. Provides on call coverage as needed to support business operations. REQUIRED SKILLS: ================= 8 to 10+ years Business Analyst experience General knowledge of the securities/mutual fund industry (terminology, procedures and regulations) with thorough knowledge in some specific areas. General knowledge of software development and implementation. Thorough knowledge of system analysis and functional design. General knowledge of structured programming techniques. General knowledge of data modeling and database design. General knowledge of user interface principles and windows design standards. General knowledge of system design documentation. General knowledge of documentation and training. General knowledge of project planning and estimation. Basic knowledge of project management. General knowledge of application architectures. SHOULD BE EXPERIENCED IN: ========================== Working with Product Managers, key project stakeholders, and customers to communicate product vision, document requirements, and translating the high-level vision into realistic features, mapped to business value. Working with Product Managers, key project stakeholders, and customers to translate their requirements into something that developers can understand as well as to translate the resulting questions that the developers have into something the stakeholders can understand. Creates and maintains a requirements traceability matrix and ensures proper maintenance of HP QC requirements. Validates all requirements have been validated, test plans created, test cases executed, and that proper documentation is maintained. Does so in accordance with IDM. Creates all business process and workflow documentation required to support any aspect of the technology, support, or maintenance processes & models. Does so in accordance with IDM. Model and document systems architectures and infrastructures in accordance with IDM standards and engineering best practices. Initiate, maintain, and document communications between Product Managers, customers, key stakeholders, and other technical personnel as needed Coordinate the create of test plans, test cases, and UAT, along with product demonstrations, walkthroughs, and other product documentation as required Generate all project documentation according to IDM methodology as required by PM.
