Note: once Dave (W.) calls the release VOTE, folks will have 72 hours to check out the release tarballs and signatures, etc. Here's some recommendations on what to do before you cast your +1 VOTE: 1. download the release 2. untar it (all look OK?) 3. verify signatures look good (see here: http://www.apache.org/dev/release-signing.html) 4. Run through the user guide examples for filemgr, workflow, resource manager, crawler, push pull; run through the guides for profile, product, web-grid, xmlps (all look OK?) 5. consider whether what you find is a blocker or not to releasing. Some suggestions: - incompatible license? Blocker - documentation bug? Not a Blocker - horrible bug that prevents your use case entirely from working? Blocker - bug with workaround?
