Part of the Apache Way is recognizing that we are all volunteers here. That means that things like family, your health, and (often) your $dayjob come first. This is expected.

We certainly appreciate it when contributors let us know they'll be away, or will miss working on something they've said they'll help with!

But please - take care of your family first, and don't worry about the project until you have time to!

Kay,

My sister-in-law's husband has recently had a massive stroke quite "out
of the blue" and his condition is still critical. As we are both good
friends and family, we've had to reprioritise in the short term to be
around for them, though my wife Jan is doing most of this. As soon as I
can, I will republish a new timeline for the forums and wiki, but I
think that the 7+14 goals will have to slip. However, I can use thinking
time on OOo issues as a good distraction, though it's hard to guarantee
when I can sit down to do a solid working day with 100% concentration on
OOo just at the moment.

Regards Terry

On Aug 5 we got a notification that the VM for MediaWiki had been
established. I also saw Terri's recent notices concerning
migration.

But do we have an actual status update on this? And, what's the
URL?

Terry E has been hard at work - many, many hours - an amazing job!

See the ooo-dev thread with the subject "[migration] Making the
forums and wiki cut-over"

The plan is 7 days for the forum and 14 for the wiki. Infra, Andrew
and Oracle are co-ordinating the IP changes to DNS.
