A little late here, and a trivial observation, but this type of statement really jerks my chain, because it is so Northern-Hemisphere specific:
"It is September. Time for cooler weather and time to go back to school...." (Watching the temperatures and humidity rise inexorably towards summer makes me grumpy. It is so easy to avoid this kind of stuff.) --Jean (in tropical Australia)
