i've heard rumours that SunStudio 12U2 had problems compiling boost stuff,
but since you were apparently successful with the latest release these
problems have perhaps been fixed.

btw, since apparently nobody has ever built LO on Solaris i've deprecated
SunStudio there a couple of days ago (there was rejoicing):
