If the objectionable character was a curved apostrophe in the title of the
first post to the AOO blog, it means that it got there from Windows Live
Writer, the authoring tool I use for directly creating posts to the AOO and
other blogs. I must be more careful what characters I include in blog-post
titles. They are not handled uniformly by different blog engines.

Thanks, Gavin, that did the trick. My guess is the ’ got in
there via a cut&paste from a word processor.

Any ideas on the security exception when adding to the media library?
Is that a known limitation?

The error is:

Unexpected Exception
Status Code 500
Message Security Violation
Type
Exception Roller has encountered and logged an unexpected exception.
