Any idea what is going on here? This seems to be something more than
the QuickStarter icon in the task bar.
I'd say it is one of the many ways to describe this bug, already fixed
for OpenOffice 3.4.1:

A possible workaround, in the meantime, is described in comment 15 in
that issue (option 3, disable Quickstart).
