The later Windows x86 versions of OpenOffice and LibreOffice seem to install and operate on the Windows 8 Community Preview with no problems. I have tested on the x64 version of Windows 8 CP.
They run on the desktop in the usual way. The icons show up nicely on the Metro Start Page also. Basically, anything that runs on Windows 7 should run on Windows 8 in the same manner. There is no project build of Apache OpenOffice for Windows 8 on Atom processors, Windows RT. The changes required for that might be quite extensive. - Dennis -----Original Message----- From: nebu r [mailto:oregoniceska...@live.com] Sent: Friday, May 18, 2012 00:24 To: ooo-users@incubator.apache.org Subject: openoffice hello, Is there any windows 8 version for openoffice? neb --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: ooo-users-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: ooo-users-h...@incubator.apache.org
