[OOPS] Solaris GRE Module and GCC v3.2

To all:

 

I've compiled the GRE module for Solaris according to the REAMD in the tarball using GCC v3.2 (from sunfreeware).  BTW, I'm running Solaris 8 on a Netra X1

 

When I 'modload gre' after copying the file to /kernel/strmod, I get:

 

# modload /kernel/strmod/gre
can't load module: No such file or directory

 

permissions are: 755 owned by 'root:sys'

 

Any help would be appreciated!
