It is definitely not only the startup case for me. For Mark's benefit,
the scenario is this:
I run in my command windows a Rexx program called elap which is really a
shell, and does various nice things for me (times commands, allows
shorthands for changing directories, calculator function, etc. It's
basically a 'parse pull command' then process and execute that command --
very like Rexxtry.
Often when in 'programming mode' I have several of these running for
hours, and in that case I have seen the dreaded 'r' corruption several
times in one run (i.e., not just the first parse pull from console). I
have seen it on two commands one after the other, for example.
