Rainer,

If I had something like this on a Linux box, I would:

* completely uninstall any installed ooRexx package.

* delete my source tree and do a fresh check out.

* rebuild

If you still get the same results after doing that:

* rename the failing test group file so it doesn't end in .testGroup
(or temporarily move it out of the test group sudirectory) so that it
won't execute.  Rerun the test suit and see if it hangs or finishes
normally.

* if it does finish normally, try running just that one test group,
but comment out the test that hangs to see if it is truly just that
one test that causes things to hang.
