There was.

But, nothing you bring up below, changes what I said about the current
open bugs for WSH.  I want to close them because they are bugs in code
that is never going to be used again.  As such they are no longer
applicable; they are in a very real sense "out of date."

I worked in software test for a long time in different organizations.
There is absolutely no point in keeping bugs open when there is no
intention of fixing them.  In this case there is no intention to fix
that code.  So, I'm fine with closing them as "won't fix" also.

Of course if others want to keep them open, I won't object.  I would
like to see a good reason for keeping them open, but even that isn't
necessary.  <grin>
