That did the trick.

A bit more advice if you don't mind.  This was just a dry run to get me
familiar with the build process in preparation for attempting a port to
z/OS.  So, my question is whether USS is an easier port target for 4.2.0 or
5.0?  I realize that this would depend on whether the various items on
which the OORexx versions are dependant are available in USS; I couldn't
possibly attempt a guess at that.
