This is mostly addressed to P.O. and Erich I guess. Whenever an ooRexx installation package got build it is also possible to create two portable versions of ooRexx using "nmake portable" on Windows and "make portable" on Unix.

In the Windows case (from December 15th) the result of running "nmake portable"
created:

   15.12.2022 10:45 2 880 987
ooRexx-5.0.0-win64-r12540-x86_64-portable-release-runtime.zip
   15.12.2022 10:45 23 050 038
ooRexx-5.0.0-win64-r12540-x86_64-portable-release.zip

The runtime version includes the setup scripts and the files for the runtime version. The other version includes the documentation and the samples.

It would be great, if it was possible to automatically create those portable versions for all platforms and upload them to Sourceforge in a proper subdirectory named "portable".

Over time this would allow for using any number of ooRexx interpreters parallel with each other without having to install them. Also, one could copy the portable versions to an usb stick and carry them along with oneself having ooRexx for all platforms wherever one goes ... :)

P.S.: Unfortunately, not having any working knowledge of Jenkins nor access to the build scripts I cannot be of help here.
P.P.S.: Creating the portable versions has time, if they cannot be easily
created at the moment.
