Certainly!
I currently have this build on my machine:
$rexx -v
Open Object Rexx Version 5.0.0 r12583
Build date: Dec 23 2022
Addressing mode: 64
Is that an acceptable version, or should I switch versions? (I suspect I did
update to a stable release of the 5.0 version.... not sure, been too long.)
That would be an acceptable version. However, you could use the official build
for your operating system from:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/oorexx/files/oorexx/5.0.0/
I went through the process of uninstalling / reinstalling... looks like I wind
up at exactly the same version:
$ rexx -v
Open Object Rexx Version 5.0.0 r12583
Build date: Dec 23 2022
Addressing mode: 64
Seems I already had the official build, and latest version available.
I am working through revering my LDSTextFile class to use Stem storage rather
than Array storage. My plan is to be able to exchange version of the
LDSTextFile class... the Array storage based vs the
Stem storage based.... do some comparative performance numbers.
I am thankful,
