Dear Leslie, I have made 2 fresh (build 11810 from 25.2.2019) USB installations that can also be used as single user „sudo free“ installations on a Mac. I can run all testcases in the test suite with both so they should work fine.
On my 8 year old MAC the RELEASE version clocks in at 6.5 million REXX clauses per second, the DEBUG version clocks in at 1.2 million cps Compared to ooRexx 4.1.2, that clocks in at 1.7 million cps in release version there is quite some improvements made since 2012 when it was released. Not to mention all the syntactic sugar added in 5.0.0 :-) If you nevertheless want to try out 4.1.2 be warned that you need to kill rxapi manually (if it runs) before installing/uninstalling oorexx 4.1.2 or it will be incomplete.
