Is there a reason you would like to keep old Boot around?
New Boot and Spad are close but subtely different in operator
precedence. What is your balance of `unification'? I'm asking
because I have some vested interests :-)
I don't really like the way `::' binds in Spad (among other things).
I'm a big fan of reduction and I believe that its syntax should be
short, e.g. I very much appreciate Boot's notation. But, I'm also
aware of the possible confusion with operator /. I'm not sure I like
the "foo"/ nottation. That notation is used in Boot largely to
compensate a *parsing* problem, just like Spad parser has trouble
understanding
