There is still a very strong possibility of having the FPGA prototype
available in a timeframe like this.  You won't mind if it's a month or
two behind schedule, will you?  :)

The issue here is not to just have a good idea but to have a very
solid business plan that is robust and guarantees a long life for the
product line.  The last thing we want is to mispredict something and
have everything flop, leaving everyone who has contributed here left
with nothing for their efforts.  I have a responsibility to everyone
to make this a success, even if that means there are some delays. 
That involves a lot of hard work on the business side, which we are
doing at this moment.

As the project business plan fills out, things are looking more and
more like what makes a strong, successful product line.  But to get it
there, we've had to reevaluate some of our assumptions.  Nevertheless,
we are 100% dedicated to both the project and the open source
approach.
