Hi all, Recently I have benn looking into Gumstix, and is looks very cool. It is the ultimate geek dream. You can get your basic board, stick some extensions, and do several embedded stuff in it. It does not yet have a LCD module of its own, but it is fully capable of having one, and it is the most coveted unfulfilled extension right now. Some people are doing homebrew solution in this area.
One guy pointed out in the forums, and many of you might have read in the news, that there are chips from Nvidia and ATI for the mobile market (Nvidia has the GoForce, dunno ATI's chip name). Would it be possible in the future to have a mobile version of the chip? I think it would require a simpler FPGA to run, since AFAIK the 3D spec for mobile devices is a trimmed-down OpenGL. Just thought you might be interested in getting in touch with the Gumstix team, maybe something good could come out of it?
