Thanks. I am posting it now. I may ask on the list for suggestions to
help non technical visitors understand what they are looking at. The
pic you have done is great - may I ask a few q's? The multiple layers
of text on the bottom - perhaps we could replace it with fresh text?
Any chance of adding a few words, showing the connections: S Video
Connector (Middle left) DVI-I Connector (2x, Top & bottom
left) PCI Edge Connector (base) 100 Pin IDC Connector (right)

I am not sure how to do it myself, but it would assist visitors
trying to understand what they are looking at. Once again - thanks
 for the pic. jb

Well, you understand that it's really just the PDF trace images superimposed
with different colors and transparencies. I added a green "PCB" layer and
made layer 1 gold, to give an impression similar to what you see with an
pre-assembly PCB, but it isn't actually a realistic picture, because in real
life, you'd *only* see layer 1.

So it's sort of a 'ghost view' of the traces.

That's also why the text looks the way it does, because the license note is
on every layer (but apparently not lined up!). I thought about replacing it,
but didn't because I thought it looked kind of cool like it was, and I could
still read it. This would be pretty simple, so I'll try to find time to do it --
I religiously avoid promising delivery on such things, though.

Regrettably, I'm more in the 'customer' class here, so I'm not entirely
sure I know enough about this thing to correctly position the labels you
refer to (there are some labels in the PDF drawings though, I may be
able to figure it out).

It'd be cool if there were a component layer, but I didn't see one in the
material I had to work with.

The original XCF is now here, BTW, if you would like to have the
'source' (it's 6.5 MB, so I'm not attaching it -- this is not a permanent
URL, though -- I clean this directory periodically, so copy, don't link):

http://x.narya.net/static/terry/OGD1_layers.xcf

Arguably, I am obligated to provide this, since the original material
is under the GPL and the XCF is the "prefered format for editing",
and the result image is also under the GPL for the same reason.
(Didn't really think about details like that when I made it). It may
be that you are obligated to post it for the same reason, but I
really don't want to think about that too hard. ;-)

Cheers,
Terry
