They still show it a lot on Engineering courses.

Most of our lecturers are very hot on stressing the importance of reliability 
by design, but unfortunately you're unlikely to find fully-qualified 
engineers (i.e. with chartered status) writing code for a typical software 
project.  They cost too much.
