You might be right, but I think it's worth mentioning that the existence
of competition doesn't automatically mean you will lose.  The Intel and
AMD/ATI offerings, if they really follow through, won't necessarily be
superior.

I imagine they will be technically superior (but you pretty much knew
that), but they may not be as well-documented, and that's is the main
selling point of an OGP card.


I agree. ATI, Intel and NVidia just cant do that. If they can then
they would have done that a long time ago.

I really wonder whats the real reason they dont do that. Maybe they
license the docs too and they are afraid that the big guys who have
already paid are going to ask for their money back?

things i hate about my linux pc:

1. it takes more than a second to boot up
2. keeps asking about filenames and directories
3. does not remember what i was working on yesterday
4. does not remember all the changes i have ever made
5.cannot figure out necessary settings by itself
