There is no functional difference, except that the GDDR ram can run at higher clock frequecies.
With an FPGA, the maximum clock frequency we can hope to achieve is 200MHz (400 Mbits/s) so there is no need to fit parts that clock higher than that, which is in the limits of regular DDR SDRAM. For the ASIC version of the card, we will use GDDR. On 8/25/06, Jon Smirl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
