[Open-hardware] Programed vs. Fixed purpose hardware II

IIRC, there was a major argument about whether programmable hardware would be suitable for a graphics processor. 

In the October Electronic Products, I find this:

Currently, this is too expensive ($435/10K) but, I see this as the future.
