They quote $36 for this so it would be practical.

This will drive DDR2: 256MB with a 16 bit wide port.

They claim 1080p HD video.

However, note that this does not include a general purpose DSP. Only the ARM and the video/audio accelerators.

However, since it has a lot of available I/O pins if you don't use the built in peripherals, it could work with a custom graphics chip.
