Last week I uploaded a patch to launchpad for adding new org unit
settings to the patron registration screen. These settings include:
* Specific date format for date fields (instead of locale-driven)
* Additional required fields (beyond the default set)
* Additional "shown" fields (shown with required, but not required)
* New "suggested" fields (shown with required/shown fields in "show
suggested" mode)
* Defaulting to the suggested mode
* Regular expression validation
* Examples (intended for validation)
There are a few more, see the launchpad description for details.
The mentioned suggested mode is also included, and if active (by
selecting the appropriate link or via defaulting it to on) will show
fields that are required, shown, or suggested, plus (hopefully)
surveys and statistical categories.
The patch was made for trunk/2.1, but appears to apply cleanly to
rel_2_0 as well (locally, anyway).
