Hi Jason,

What are the criteria for bib records to be migrated? What fields are required?
Is there documentation on this that you could send me?

If a record has MARC fields for ISBN, author, title, imprint would that be
sufficient? We can globally update non-MARC records to change the fields to
MARC tags.

If the items for these records are barcoded, you could migrate them as
"pre-cataloged", where item records exist, but no bib records. Such
an item, upon check-in, will ask to be routed to Cataloging, unless
you a checkbox selected that suppresses pre-cat alerts.

This is essentially what pre-cats are in Evergreen, but there are no
underlying bib records, and any temporary data such as title or author
get thrown away if the item circulates again or gets cataloged.

In the database, such items will have a value of -1 in asset.copy.call_number
