We use Star Micronics TSP100ECO. These are USB thermal printers and work great. These are totally Font/html configurable on the receipts.
The only minor inconvenience is that if you send something to the printer the print Dialog box comes up, and you have to hit OK for it to actually print. There may be a fix for this but I have yet to have the time to really look in to this. I bought these when our old Star Micronics SP200's would not work with 1.6.1.4.
