Hi Jennifer,

You'll need to manually add the COPY_STATUS_LONG_OVERDUE.override permission through your permissions editor and then give it to the staff that currently have the other COPY_STATUS_LONGOVERDUE.override permission

  Ok. Good to know. :-)

However, what is our process in circulation when we need to check in
something with this status? What can we do?

Right now as well, we cannot just change the status in the copy record either. We
can't access the status field in the "edit item attributes" function at all.
Why is that?

Thanks for all of your help!

Jennifer

Jennifer,

Yes, that sounds like a known bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1378829

That bug appears to be very close to resolution.

A potentially quick fix is described in comment #6:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1378829/comments/6

Jeff's branch, linked from comment #12

https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1378829/comments/12

has a more comprehensive fix.

I suppose someone should review this and get it committed... ;)

All -

We are getting permission errors for LongOverdue items when trying to
check them in. The error says that there is a permission issue with
the override. However, here is the permission as it is set:
"COPY_STATUS_LONGOVERDUE.override" This is set in the permission
group that is trying to perform this function.

BUT -

You the error message that pops up, it has another underscore in it:
"COPY_STATUS_LONG_OVERDUE.override"

So, there being a mis-match, I am wondering if the system is having
problems because it thinks it is one thing, when it is actually another?

Is this a bug? What do we need to do to fix this? Currently we
cannot check in these items because no one can override the message.

Thanks!

Jennifer
