There are iser environments where we might need to do iscsi discovery
over rdma connection, that is establish iser connection and then carry
the discovery session over it. I was a bit away for the developments in
the initiator over the last months so would need some crash help here.
Looking on the user space code, I see that if a transport advertizes
SENDTARGETS_OFFLOAD capability
there's possibility for them to provide ->sendtargets entry through
which discovery can be done. I also see in usr/netlink.c framework to go
into the kernel for sendtargets. I understand this was build for HW
iscsi transports where the card offloads things like discovery, but I
hope we can reuse this code if the user wants to (say) conduct discovery
through any transport (e.g iser) and not through tcp from user space,
any heads up will be cool.
