Client: Fannie Mae Job Title: Data Modeler Location: Herndon VA Job Description: Develop and maintain platform data models, data dictionaries, data maps and other artifacts across the organization. . Leverage expertise in data modeling to provide innovative solutions to challenging business problems. . Lead high-level database design for major new applications and application releases. Ensure that the needs of key stakeholders (development, operations, business, etc) are met and balanced. . Clearly understand and communicate the technology aspects of application and system operational domains as well as where project assignments fit within technology and business strategy. . Participate in the project lifecycle, providing data architectural guidance Must-Have Skills: . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. . Minimum of 6 years combined experience in data modeling, database and data architecture. . Experience in using data modeling tools such as ERWin, ER Studio, etc. . Extensive knowledge of and direct experience across the full development lifecycle experience including requirements analysis, design, development implementation, operations, and maintenance. . Demonstrated skill in developing complex, scalable large business applications using Oracle technologies. . Experience in Oracle database development, design, and best practices are highly desired. . Experience with relational and dimensional modeling techniques. . Strong analytical skills, proficiency in root cause analyses and ability to resolve problems . Excellent documentation, presentation, oral and written communication skills along with the ability to work independently and handle ambiguity effectively required .
