Job Description: Java Developer Location: Seattle-WA-US. Duration: Contract Rate : $ 30 / hour on Corp to Corp v Design, develop, implement, test, document and deliver large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using multi-threaded programming, distributed programming in Java and C++, JDBC, SQL, Object Oriented design and design patterns, Oracle, and middleware messaging systems in a Linux environment. v Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. v Own delivery of entire piece of system or application, and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards. v Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and travel for onsite troubleshooting or project launch. Key Responsibilities: Ø Analyze application specification and design detail to determine appropriate test paths Ø Document and execute detailed, rigorous test plans for web services Ø Manage to completion concurrent ad hoc and project related test requests Ø Set-up, configure, and maintain multiple test environments on Linux servers Ø Design, code, and maintain test framework and automation functionality in Java and Perl Ø Test web service functionality, evaluate performance and scalability Ø Define, capture, and report test execution status metrics including test cases completed, defects identified and fixed, defects by type, and time to resolution Ø Define product quality metrics and the supporting processes to record and publish Ø Continuously improve team test processes and techniques Ø Collaborate with other SDETs in the organization to advance ECS testing efficacy Ø Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Ø Participate in after-hours or on-call duties as assigned Ø Good at test methodology Ø Good coding skill so he/she can maintain the Iris automated regression test suites. Experience with Test NG and Selenium will be a plus. Ø Passion for software quality. Ø Good team-worker. Qualifications: o BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience o 3+ years coding experience in Java or other object-oriented language o 2+ years developing complex scripts in Perl or other scripting language o 2+ years software testing experience with web or distributed applications o Proven experience in all phases of testing from project start to wrap-up o Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment o Effective working in a team as well as independently o Passion for software quality and positive customer experience.
