We are looking to fill a Java/J2EE programmer positions at the FEP/CareFirst in Washington D.C. It's an 11 month contact with a probable extension. Please see the job description below. All candidates **MUST** be currently in the D.C. area. No exceptions. And please ensure they have not already been submitted to FEP/CareFirst. The C2C range is 60/hour. Also, please make sure your candidate has 8 plus years overall professional experience. And 6 years of Java/J2EE experience. Thanks! Skills - Java/J2EE Programmer Analysts: This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 8 years professional software development experience in object-oriented language, including minimum of 6 years experience with Java and J2EE. Specific requirements include, but not limited to: * Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology * Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services. * Extensive hands on experience with Java, J2EE, JDBC, Hibernate and JMS. * Experience and knowledge of XML, XSLT; hands on experience with XML conversion between different XML Schemas; knowledge of Service Data Objects (SDO) is a plus. * Wide breadth of knowledge across many Java Open-Source technologies including Ant, Spring, XML parser technology, Axis, JUnit. * Experience with software development best practices and lifecycle * Excellent application performance tuning skills * Experience with Oracle and SQL.
