Hi, I have this requirement Position : Software Quality Assurance Tester (Japanese site) Duration : 9 months Start Date : 1/4/2009 Location : Southern Maine Rate : Open *Main Functions:-* This position is responsible for executing functional test cases and communicating issues for resolutions. Specifically, this role will be testing the Japanese version of our clients' website. This role is a key contributor to the success of Quality Assurance initiatives for our client and their E-Commerce Test Team. *Qualifications:* 6+ years of quality assurance experience *Ability to read Kanji fluently is an absolute requirement* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in business and technical terms Experience with commercial automation tools, preferably Compuware's TestPartner, a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, mainframe-based, client-server & web applications Experience in creating and executing functional test cases Strong organizational skills and the ability to think strategically Understands testing methodologies, quality assurance best practices and automation standards and guidelines HTML knowledge Computer systems and hardware knowledge Experience with trouble ticket management software, preferably Jira Highly organized; ability to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously Flexible; able to adapt to changing priorities within a rapidly changing business environment Follow-through; ability to see a project from start to finish Strong attention to detail Highly motivated, self starter Strong interpersonal skills; adept at establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with peers and members of a cross-functional work team. Strong collaboration skills, excellent communication/presentation skills, appreciation of standards Understand llbean.com system processes and use of Web technologies *Specific responsibilities include, but are not restricted to: * Work as an integral member of the Ecommerce Testing Team Act as a mentor to new testers providing training and support throughout testing Develop test cases based on technical design and creative presentation Prepare test data requirements Test new E-commerce functionality on our Japanese website: reporting new issues and validating resolved issues Validating the accuracy of additions and updates to the editorial agenda Understand design concepts and validate adherence to the Web Style Guide; Update functional requirements with detailed functionality based on technical design specifications Understand and utilize testing resources and technical design to ensure accuracy Use a variety of software tools, operating systems and browsers to ensure a consistent presentation of llbean.com to all customers Provide input into the design and structure of automated tests *Maintain Testing and Production Support Issue Tracker:* Provide detailed feedback on each to developers and business analysts Assign issues as appropriate Periodically review all outstanding issues which includes re-testing aged issues to determine if they are still outstanding, updating issues with changes or additional information, following up with assignees or their managers if their issues are not been resolved within the expected turnaround time Communicate the status of open and assigned issues Retest resolved issues, update ticket resolution and close problem tickets Perform root cause analysis of common issues and work with appropriate parties to resolve.
