Description:
The Employment Security Commission (ESC ) is seeking a short term (approx. 6
month) contractor to assist permanent staff in the upgrade of ESC evaluation
application. The current system is a browser-based application in a Windows
Server and MS SQL Server environment written in .NET 2.0. The upgrade will
require new query, computational and display functionality The specific
elements of the work to be assigned to this person include the
implementation of standards and best practices, the creation of standard and
specialized queries, and documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
. Minimum 3 years of experience as a VB.NET programmer and analyst
. Minimum 5 years experience developing ASP.NET and .NET applications.
. Minimum 2 years of .NET 2.0 programming experience
. Minimum 2 years of experience in developing standards and best practices
in .NET 2.0.
. Experience writing .NET applications that optimize access to very large
data sets.
. Proven communication skills ( both written and verbal)
. Ability to take direction
. Ability to work independently or as part of a team on assigned tasks.
Preference will be given to candidates experience in projects of similar
scope and complexity.
