*Oracle Applications GL Functional Consultant (Citizens & GC’S)
Length: 6+ months*

*Location: Atlanta, GA*

*Start:  September 7th* **

*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:* The Oracle Applications Analyst-General Ledger
is responsible for working closely with Oracle E-Business Suite Application
General Ledger end-users/controllers, internal Financial analysts (Business
& Process Leads) and other IT project team members (Lead Business Analyst,
Technical Lead, Development Lead, Developers, Testers, Project Manager).
Primary responsibilities and deliverables are listed below.



*Business Design/Configuration*

o        Be the primary analyst for Oracle eBusiness Suite General Ledger
module functionality

o        Conduct meetings and presentations with the end users and internal
IT departments

o        Analyze/document existing processes, systems

o        Gather and document business, functional, system requirements,
system flow diagrams, functional specification documents to meet the
requirements & gap solutions and other documentation  required to design and
implement key and common financial processes on Oracle Application Release
12 in coordination with business process owners, finance leaders and other
Oracle experts

o        Ensure correct gap analysis and recommend gap resolution solutions
by subscribing as much as possible to standard, supported Oracle General
Ledger R12 process

o        Apply and test configurations to assigned Oracle General Ledger R12
Application setup; recommend and implement product configuration changes
addressing business requirements and process reengineering

o        Be the primary liaison with development teams on technical
specifications for all module reports, interfaces, customization, extensions
and workflow requirements

o        Create functional integration test scenarios/scripts, perform
testing, and support user acceptance testing of the developed solutions

o        Draft/review system integration test scripts

o        Provide support with RICEW unit testing.

o        Provide post implementation support for the implemented solutions.
This would involve analyzing issues to figure out the best solutions, and
working with technical and change management teams to get the changes
implemented.

o        Follow the organization’s SDLC process

o        Build Business Lead and Process Lead relationships to assess,
initiate, refine and drive appropriate process and technology solutions

o        Partner with IT representatives for successful and timely solutions

o        Effectively communicate application changes to the affected parties

o        Perform knowledge transfer to Business Leads, Process Leads &
Support Team and other team members of R12 capabilities through analysis
documentation, demos, reviews and presentations

o        Be capable of assisting training as a backup resource

o        Ensure Business Lead has full visibility into business change
readiness required activities & issues

*Required Qualifications, Skills*

*Oracle Financials Skills (PRIMARY):*

·         *MUST have participated in at least (2) ERP implementations as a
GL functional analyst/configurator and/or data flow analyst  with hands-on
experience implementing and configuring (2) different Release 12 Oracle
eBusiness Suite Financials (11.5.10 or higher may also be acceptable) *

·         *Must possess strong understanding of Oracle ERP General Ledger
module application configuration set-ups, functionality, interaction with
other EBS Release 12 modules *

·         *Ability to diagnose and resolve problems within and between
modules*

*Analysis Skills (PRIMARY):*

·         7+ yrs related information systems experience with demonstrated
significant experience in business and systems analysis, design, and system
implementation

·         Basic skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Workflow, and Oracle Reports
Developer, preferred but not required.

·         Strong knowledge of Oracle R12 database tables and relationships

·         Demonstrated extensive skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint,
MS Visio, MS Access, MS Outlook, Sharepoint (or other intranet based
repository tool), ReqPro, Mercury Test Director/Quality Center, issue
tracking and change management software required.



*Consulting/Facilitation/Interpersonal Skills (STANDARD):*

·         Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive
listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise
fashion to technical and non-technical audiences

·         Out-going, strong desire and ability to proactively lead
meetings;  Good facilitation and meeting documentation skills

·         Promotes ideas and options persuasively; able to work through
conflicts to negotiate win/win solutions

·         Demonstrate thinking/problem solving skills and the ability to
research an issue and determine the cause

·         Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities

·         Work environment is fast paced. The job requires a flexible work
schedule, ability to work under pressure & operate well in a changing
environment



*Additional Skills (NICE TO HAVE):*

   - Knowledge of SOX and other regulatory and compliance areas
