*Job Description: *



*Experienced build engineer to participate in the build out of a new
centralized build services group within the client. In this position, the
.NET build engineer will be responsible to perform the following duties:*

   - Perform builds, packaging and deployments of software artifacts with
   focus on continuous improvement and higher levels of automation.
   - Work to develop and implement build and deployment processes and
   scripts with new development teams
   - Document all aspects of Build and Deployment processes, including
   workflows, standards, and instructions.
   - Define services with well defined processes and assist in defining
   SLAs.
   - Develop a metrics based approach to measuring build and deployment
   quality, as well as SLA performance.
   - Assist environment manager in tracking environment scheduling, product
   versioning and communication with stakeholders regarding deployment status
   - Assist in defining and maintaining standards for build script
   development, including repeatable, published locations and targets for each
   build type (application, database, BizTalk, etc)
   - Assist in the implementation of an automated deployment engine for code
   build and deployment to dev/test /performance/QA/production environments.
   - Help maintain client's best practices for software configuration
   management using source control management (currently within TFS)
   - Support the production team on paperwork and other preparations
   associated with hand-off for production deployments
   - Assist teams in source code branching and tracking their branch and
   merge activities.

This is s support oriented role. As such, the candidate will be able to
provide flexible hours of support, based on team needs. Solid multi-tasking
and time management skills are a must.

*Skills used:*  Visual Studio/.Net, IIS, BizTalk, SQL 2005, Reporting
Services, windows scripting, batch files, TFS, MS Build, Branching and
Merging, MS BRD Framework a plus
