Oracle DBA w/ VMWare
TNT needs an *Oracle DBA with VMWare* experience for an *Oracle 10g – 11g
upgrade* project.
* *
*Oracle Project objectives:*
- 10g – 11g upgrade (not current but all new environments will be 11g) **
- Building out VM farm for Linux Redhat environment **
- So Oracle can run on Linux **
- Currently Oracle can only run on Solaris **
* *
*Must haves:*
- Oracle 11g
- VMWare 4.0
- ASM (Adaptive storage manager)
*Duties:*
- Provide VMWare tuning request
- Tuning the database for VMWare
- Monitoring of virtual database environments (How do the monitor the
host and hosted environments)?
- Documentation on Oracle/ VMWare best practices
- Testing
- Research
