General Duties: The *MMIS Technical Manager* is responsible for managing all technical aspects of engineering and the software development life-cycle (SDLC) for a replacement MMIS, a multi-year effort that will be one of the largest IT projects in the State. Duties include planning, execution, and reporting on technical aspects of the project and other related activities. As the majority of the system development work will be outsourced to vendors and other State organizations, the Technical Manager must manage and coordinate multi-organizational technical efforts to achieve project objectives. This person may supervise other technical staff, and that team will also be responsible for reviewing all technical artifacts produced by all participating organizations for accuracy and completeness. The team will also be required to generate written analyses of technical aspects of the project and give oral presentations on similar topics.
