Send me matching Resumes along with Rate, Contact Info to h...@blackapple-solutions.com *Job Title: **Oracle DBA or DB2 DBA* *Location: **Houston, TX OR Montreal, Canada* *Duration: Long term* * * *Skills: Oracle DBA or DB2 DBA, MS SQL Server, UNIX, OCFS, NFS, RMAN, Shell Scripting, Perl, SQL*Plus, Crystal Reports, OEM, Java/C#* * * *Job Details:*** *Technical Skills and Experience:* The duties of the Developer will include, but are not limited to, performing the tasks listed below: Must have *at least 8+ years* of experience *Responsibilities include: *Official title of this role, within the Program, is Database Administrator, reporting to the Migration Team Lead The role of this position is to: · Responsible for collecting, converting and transfer data from existing environment to the SwapKit environment. · Perform data consolidation for Transition Service Agreement between Client and the buyer. · Perform databases conversion, migration and transfer from Client environment to the SwapKit environment. *· *Analyze data structure and relationship on different levels and areas of applications. ** · *Perform data migration between databases on different platforms: Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL and MS Access. * · Work closely with the Program Infrastructure team, and DS BAMs to priorities migration approaches, change strategies, to determine requirements, develop high level design, and test plans. · Coordinate and prepare *testing resources* for *DS BAMs* & end users to test the target solutions. · Follow up with DS counterparts to ensure timely and thorough*testing, document findings, *and *migration plans,* and perform *performance tuning* and optimization, if necessary. · Optimize execution plans for more efficient data retrieval. · Clone and refresh databases and schemas for different business and testing purposes. · Document data and business process changes, if necessary. · Maintain technical documentations in project repository, and ensure they are up-to-date. · Provide training/transition support to new owner. · Provide technical consulting/training/transition as database expert to the buyer. *The position will be based in Montreal or Houston, but will be required to work with Down stream’s global teams in different geographies. Some late night or early morning conference calls are expected as part of the job.
