DFSMS (Storage Management System) knowledge a. Know basics of the SMS routines b. Know process to establish storage groups. 2. DFSMS/hsm (Hierarchal Storage Manager)Knowledge a. Know HSM basics b. Knowledge of ABARS (Automatic Backup And Recovery System) c. Support HSM Audits and reports. 3. DFSMS/RMM (Removable Media Manager) Knowledge a. Know the tape management basics b. Know how to use RMM functions to add and delete tape volumes. 4. Tape Process a. Knowledge of SUN/STK tape libraries including ACS, SMC and EXPR. b. Knowledge of Disaster Recovery Tape processes. c. Any knowledge on Tape encryption best practices would be good. 5. SAS (Statistical Analysis Software) Knowledge a. Know how to install / clean up SAS releases. b. Know how to report on SAS usage and justify all the current SAS tools we have installed. c. Assist users with SAS related problems. 6. Support SMF (System Management Facility) a. Knowledge of how SMF works. b. Support SMF procedures and offhours processing. c. Recommend SMF processes to Business groups. 7. Billing a. Produce mainframe DASD and CPU billing through MXG monthly. b. Produce Open Systems Billing Monthly. c. Support changes to the billing system. d. Evaluate and recommend changes to improve the Billing systems. 8. DASD Support a. Support Business Group requests for additional DASD. b. Support the current DASD configuration for Disaster Recovery. c. Support DASD changes per request. 9. Project Performance Support a. Support various project initiatives and supply performance input to the team that will assist them in completing their projects on time and without delaying any other applications. b. Evaluate projects for mainframe storage and CPU usage. c.
