Ø Contribute to requirements definition, design and reviews. Ø Participate in all stages of software development including refining product vision, gathering requirements, software system design, coding, testing, release, and support. Ø Follow a documented software development process and contribute to process improvements. Ø Design and implement the software configuration management process and procedures. Ø Ensure software created and released conforms to the quality requirements by accurately writing and executing test plans. Ø Work with other departments to achieve cross-functional goals to satisfy customer expectations. *GENERAL CONSULTANT ACCOUNTABILITIES* Ø Software design, implementation and review Ø Software development of application or system components at enterprise level Ø Requirements definition and analysis Ø Unit testing, functional testing and test automation Ø Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects Ø Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software product release Ø Understand the technical aspects of the products used to support the configuration management activities of the development process Ø Adapt configuration management tools for the complex needs of the development teams or the management of the development process Ø Generate, monitor and maintain Baseline Audit, and Configuration Item Version Control Ø Deploy the development artifact to a staging area for release to production Ø Enforce process compliance Ø Create and execute approved test plans, analyze and report results Ø Decompose requirements for testability and provide feedback to the requirement gathering process Ø Interact with customers/users to support software acceptance process and act as a liaison between development and user community Ø Investigate and report problems *Qualifications/Skills:* Ø Undergraduate or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems Ø 6+ years of engineering experience Ø JDK 6 or above Ø Spring framework (IOC/DI) Ø Persistence framework (JPA, Hibernate or equivalent) Ø Web services: SOAP and RESTful Ø Web services framework: CXF, Axis2, or other equivalent Ø Web application development using MVC based framework, JavaScript, jQuery, etc. Ø JMS and Message Queues Ø Relational and No-SQL Database knowledge Ø Eclipse-based IDEs, Maven build, CI Tools, Ø Application sever: Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic, Websphere etc. Ø Plus (not required) Ø Knowledge in Big Data Technologies like Hadoop, HBase, Pig, Hive etc. is a plus Ø Knowledge in Text Search technologies like Lucene, Elasticsearch or Solr is a plus Looking forward to hear from you!
