Please find the requirement below and let me know your interest.. *POSITION* *Sr. Oracle DBA* *6+months* *Columbus, OH (LOCALS)* *Phone and F2F* *GC or USC only* Senior Manager Database Services. Our Columbus, Ohio client has an urgent contract need for a Senior Manager Database Services who will be responsible for directly managing and leading a team of Database Administrators. Responsibilities include managing, maintaining and improving uptime and availability, performance, development, enhancement, support and delivery of all database services in the Enterprise. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Providing technical leadership to multiple levels of Database Administrators Mentoring, teaching, and assisting Database Administrators; performing performance evaluations Working with project managers to ensure database teams adhere to project schedules; manage database resources across multiple projects Presentations of technical capabilities, database health status and operational metrics; attend delivery and operational meetings with project managers and senior leadership to provide current status and state of database services Provide subject matter expertise to evaluate, select and devise architecture and technologies for new solutions; leverage best practices across all database systems and applications Troubleshooting and coordination across teams; change control coordination, review and championing Ensure compliance, best practices and standards are met Preparation of estimates of hours for development projects and tasks; drive annual project scoping, application prioritization and budget planning; detailing lifecycle and capacity planning for 3 – 5 year projection Provide feedback on solutions proposed by partners and customers; participate in technical architecture reviews in areas of expertise; assist with the evaluation and implementation of new products and features Managing software and hardware support agreements including price negotiations, legal agreements and overall vendor management Be consistent with company values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration and Humility *Qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems 10+ years enterprise database administration of Oracle in a highly available and RAC environment; additional experience supporting Teradata and Microsoft SQL Server Retail experience is a plus Proven leadership with competing priorities, serving many customers on multiple platforms; Strong communication skills, ability to successfully and effectively navigate between multiple management layers Proven track record for thinking beyond currents-state technology issues including process improvement and optimization Is passionate about technology, and has interest in emerging tools, trends and techniques across the industry Must be a high energy team player with a positive working attitude; Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to analyze situations, respond independently, prioritize to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and be a team player while maintaining a positive attitude Strong skills and experience leading high-pressure outages and return to service activities Experience managing insource, outsource and cosource database administration *Thanks and Regards,* *Shilpi Bisht* *Sr. Technical Recruiter* *IDC Technologies* *1851 McCarthy Boulevard, Suite 116|Milpitas, CA , USA, 95035* *408-459-1965 [Direct] I shilpi.bi...@idctechnologies.com <shilpi.bi...@idctechnologies.com>* *www.idctechnologies.com* <http://www.idctechnologies.com> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
